Next month ‘How to combat dry skin’.

If you need one word as a New Year Resolution for your skin make it REPAIR. There are many products out there that actually damage the skin barrier with ineffective additives. The skin is our largest organ and as it is external, it needs a little help every now and again to function at its peak. Remember that your skin is the 1st line of defence for your body’s immune system. If healthy, it can prevent inflammation which in turn can lead to premature ageing, uneven texture, skin tone and changes in pigmentation. Firm, smooth and healthy…these are 3 words that can be simply stunning when they apply to your skin. They also indicate good diet, fitness, lack of stress and lack of physiological imbalance.

Many ‘high-street’ products are over-loaded with essences to make products smell and feel nice, but the real crux is to repair the external barrier and strengthen the collagen and elastin producing properties. As we age these substances are produced less and our skin subsequently thins and sags, unfortunately this is more pronounced in women. The products that you select should not be ridiculously expensive as the most effective ingredients are not over-manufactured, keep that in mind when consulting your skin specialist and get something that will make your skin truly beautiful x.

10 – hydrate your skin with cosmeceutical moisturisers. 9 – use specially designed products for the eye area, the skin here is different and requires TLC. 8 – don’t neglect your neck and decollate, these areas often give away our true age, regardless of how fastidiously you look after your face. 7 – equally important, dot neglect your hands, why spend money on getting your nails perfected if the skin on the area looks old and sun damaged. 6 – tired of dull, puffy eyes, treat yourself to a non-surgical, pain free, radio frequency lift…looks amazing, even if you don’t feel tip-top. 5 – get rid of unwanted hair, smooth skin is beautiful skin. 4 – age-spots and redness can lead to us ‘over-doing’ the make-up, if you want to wear less ‘cover-up’, banish these nasties for good with a laser treatment or chemical peel. 3 – muscular injuries can make us feel grumpy and lethargic…rectify them with a sports therapy treatment and keep the ‘bah humbug’ feeling at bay. 2 – stretch marks and scars can mean that you may want to cover-up and not bear all during the festive period….good news, there are non-surgical treatments for these too, hurray! Christmas number 1 – to maximise any treatment or regime you may have, invest in an anti-ageing kit, utilising a cleanser, moisturiser, serum, SPF and rejuvenator to look fantabulous throughout Christmas, the New Year and all of 2015.

Skin Deep – November 2014
South Warrington News

Next month ‘Christmas Top Ten’.

Sporting injuries and muscular strains can be more than just uncomfortable, they can be a real hindrance to daily mobility and can prevent us doing exercise for prolonged periods of time. The longer we leave them, the more irritating, and serious, the offending area can become. A great way of rectifying movement/mobility in the area is to use non-invasive Radio-Frequency as a method of alleviating the discomfort and this can be done in sessions as short as 10-15 minutes (depending on the size of the affected area) at a local clinic. Common areas for injury treatments are the neck, shoulders, other joints and lower back.
In addition to this fantastic treatment, the same technology can also be used on the face, neck and chest for impressive non-surgical lifts. It can also be employed on the abdomen, upper arms and buttocks/thighs for body toning. The latter can be used in conjunction with a professional vibration plate to get exceptional results and visible contouring/inch loss.
It is certainly amazing, that such a simple technology can be used to achieve such different results all over the face and body, why not look into how it could help you achieve your goals today.
